Rob began his construction business with Gemini Development Corporation and has grown to have an ownership interest in multiple companies – each focusing on a particular neighborhood or community. A new company name; Rob Rice Homes, was introduced in 2011, to easily identify a new home community built by Rob Rice.  Rob also discovered that in order to provide customers with the best buying experience, real estate agents trained specifically to market new home construction was key. In 1989, Rob and his business partner founded Epic Realty, Inc. to exclusively market homes built by the Rob Rice Homes family of companies. Epic Realty, Inc. currently markets Rob’s new home communities of Villages At South Hill, Kensington, Evergreen Heights, Stadium Estates,  and Holloway Springs. In 2010, Rob expanded his partnership to include Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic Realty, to market the Whitmore Glen community and the newest community of Campus Highlands in 2011.

Creating a Rob Rice Homes community is a 5 step process – development of the land, construction of the houses, sale of the homes, maintenance of the neighborhood’s common areas, and customer warranty service. Rob, his partners and each employee strives to make each step a benefit for our homeowners – creating value and beauty in our neighborhoods that stand the test of time.

Rob is involved in numerous activities in the community including the Olympia Master Builders and the Thurston County Economic Development Council as a long-time board member of each. He is also a board member of the Thurston First Bank. Rob is a 1985 graduate of Washington State University with degrees in construction management and architecture. He and his wife, Helena, make their home in Olympia with their son, Alex Michael.

Rob is currently building the following new home communities: Whitmore Glen, Villages At South Hill, Kensington, Evergreen Heights, Stadium Estates, Holloway Springs and Campus Highlands.
